Resources
There are three types of resources, as well as settlers in KingsAge. Both are needed for a multitude of possible actions. Resources are consumer goods, which means that they disappear after use. Settlers on the other hand, are bound to certain things (buildings, units...) and are available as long as the object exists.
Resources
The three different resources are needed for practically all actions. Resources are continually produced by particular buildings and can be traded, sold or bought via the market. Additionally, the player receives a maximum amount of resources that he can store, which depends on the warehouse.

Settlers
Settlers are one of the player's resources and limit the player's possessions. Each player settlement has a settlement amount that is available to him in this place for his buildings and units. Each object is bound to these settlers a certain amount and these settlers are then classified as employed. Settlers that are not bound yet are classified as free settlers. If an action requires more settlers than the player has available, the action will not be possible. To extend a settlement nonetheless, the player has to extend the miller, as this determines the exact amount of settlers.
If a settlement loses units or buildings during the course of a game, employed settlers will become available again and can be used for other objects. Units that have left the settlement still effect the number of settlers in their home settlements until they fall in battle.
